Located in the north of The Ardennes is the small town of Troisvierges. The parish church dates from 1640 when it was the church of a large Franciscan monastery. It contains baroque furnshings and a high, elaborate altar which is the work of the Rubens school. There are statues of the three virgins - Fides, Spes and Caritas from whom the town`s name is derived. Troisvierges grew from a small hamlet whose inhabitants worshipped the three virgins.
