This lovely 15th Century castle was partly destroyed by the French on two occasions in the 17th Century, and afterwards by its owners. During the 19th Century, it was the home of Luxembourg`s famous poet and playwright Edmond de la Fontaine, also known as `Dicks`. His grave is next to the church. Stadtbredimus is a vine growing centre and the castle is now the headquarters of the cooperative company `Domaines de Vinsmoselle`, who arrange viticultural tours.
