The little town of Remich dates back to Roman times. In the ninth Century it was taken by the Romans. The restored St Nicholas Gateway is medieval as are the old towers seen in the town. Built on Roman foundations, the late baroque church has a 12th Century tower. There are 17th Century houses in Rue St Cunibert. The town`s picturesque lanes and alleyways are fascinating to explore, and one way to do this would be by taking a trip on the little tourist train De Jhangeli.
