The Counts of Luxembourg built a castle chapel in the 10th Century on the site of the present church. Rebuilt several times, it was enlarged in the 14th Century, damaged a century later by the Burgundians, then burnt down in 1509. After any damage, it was always rebuilt and altered. Features of the present church date back to the late 17th Century when the high baroque tower was added. Inside is late Gothic vaulting, a baroque altar, a baroque organ amd a 17th Century pieta.
