This remembrance walk leads into the woods at Schumanns Eck where many American and German soldiers died during the Battle of the Bulge 1944-1945. A fairly level walk, it is less than two miles long, and there are plaques pointing out the dug-outs and craters where so many soldiers lost their lives. A memorial indicates a mass grave where German and American soldiers were temporarily buried together. It is dedicated to All Soldiers killed in the Schumanns Eck wood. A leaflet is available.
