Roman Villa

This Roman villa, dating from the 1st Century AD, had a hypocaust and a bath almost 250 feet in length. It is now partly covered over but can be visited. Nearby is the parish church which was built in the mid 19th Century in a neo-classic style with two towers. Also of interest is St Michael`s tower. It is all that remains of the previous parish church that was destroyed by lighning. The tower dates from 1707.
