Ancient Quiren Chapel is in the Petrusse Valley, near Pont Viaduc. Built into the rock, it is sited near a spring once reputed to be helpful in curing eye complaints. At first a pagan site, it became a Christian sanctuary and from the 11th Century it has been dedicated to St Quiren. Services were held in the caves. The small Gothic chapel dates from the mid 14th Century. The roof and small towers were added 500 years later.
