For hundreds of years, the small village of Nospelt was the centre of Luxembourg`s ceramics industry. The production of pottery thrived here from 1458 until 1914 when the last workshop closed. The museum is housed in the last of the potters` workshops, and it contains a fascinating collection from different areas of Luxembourg. Pottery still plays a part in village culture and every year, on Easter Monday, the traditional festival of Emaischen takes place. There`s a ceramics exhibition, with ware for sale, including the bird shaped whistle Peckvillercher.
