Markets are held in Place Guillaume every Wednesday and Saturday. Here you will find a mass of colourful stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, fish, cheese (including goat`s cheese) and homemade produce such as jam. On a bronze horse statue in the square is seated King and Duke William 11 of Nassau-Orange who ruled from 1840 to 1849. On one side of the square is the Town Hall with its bronze lions. It was built in the 1830s from the stones of a Franciscan monastery that once stood on the site.
