The Patton Memorial in Ettelbruck is an identical copy of the statue in the park of Westpoint Military Academy. It was erected in memory of American General George S. Patton (1885-1945) whose troops fought in the Battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944 and 1945. Near the bronze statue is a tank and a stone monument bearing the American Eagle in remembrance of the liberation of Luxembourg by US forces. The memorial is located close to the bridge over the River Sure.
