This place of pilgrimage was constructed after the end of the Second World War when a number of Portuguese immigrants settled in Luxembourg. It was the fulfillment of a vow made during the war by Dean Prosper Colling. The grotto, dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, and the Way of the Cross are on a hill on the north-west side of the town. Processions take place every year on Ascension Day.
