The small town of Rumelange played an important part in the development of industry in southern Luxembourg. Deep inside a mine shaft, the visitor can discover the history of mining for iron ore in a location where it took place. There are displays of both old and modern mining equipment in the mine gallery. The collection includes machinery, different tools, lamps and many photographs. There is also an exhibition of rocks and fossils. It is recommended that the visitor going underground wears warm clothing even in the summer.
