The River Moselle was canalised in the 1960s and at Stadtbredimus there is a weir. Near it is a monument recalling the Roman bridge that once crossed the river at Stadtbredimus to Palzem in Germany. This great Roman road, linking Metz with Trier, passed through the Bous Valley on its way to the Moselle. Another monument on the banks of the river is to the Luxembourg politician Paul Eyschen, who was a former minister for viticulture. Stadtbredimus is an embarkation point for cruises on the M.S. Princesse Marie-Astrid.
