Surrounded by parklands and lovely wooded countryside, dazzling Meysembourg Castle is an easy walk from Larochette. The present castle was built in the 1880s on the site of an earlier fortress. This earlier castle was attacked several times, then rebuilt in 1711, but nothing remains of it except a chapel. Meysembourg Castle is privately owned and cannot be visited. The walk could be extended by visiting the mushroom shaped rock Nommerlayen.
