The small town of Erpeldange is located north-east of Ettelbruck at the entrance to the Valley of the Upper Sure. It has a Renaissance castle, dating from the early 17th Century that has been built on the site of an earlier fortification. It is now occupied by the local authority administration and holds occasional art exhibitions. The surrounding park has a monument to Grand-Duchess Charlotte. If you continue to follow the River Sure, you will be rewarded with superb views of the valley.
