Chemin de la Corniche
Luxembourg 1339 - Luxembourg

Map

The Corniche has been described by a Luxembourg writer as`the most beauiful balcony in Europe`. This scenic promenade leads from the St Esprit plateau along the ramparts to the Bock promontory. Built by the Spaniards and the French in the 17th Century, the fortifications were dismantled after the Treaty of London in the late 1860s. Most of the wall has been removed, revealing superb panoramic views of the Petrusse and Alzette valleys and the Grund.
