Capuchin Theatre
9 Place du Theatre, Luxembourg 2613 - Luxembourg

Map
Originally the building was a Capuchin monastery and it functioned as such from 1623 to 1795. French Revolution troops then took possession and used it as a powder magazine, bakery and a place to store food. The City of Luxembourg authorities gained possession in 1867 and the building was used as a theatre for nearly 100 years. Since then, this historic building has been restored and it opened as a theatre again with 269 seats in 1985.
