Bavigne is a pretty village lying on a small arm of the Upper Sure Lake. The parish church of St Martin is classified as a national monument and dates back to the mid 18th Century. Inside, there is a fine, carved, baroque altar made in the 1740s by a sculptor of Wiltz. The tower was built in the Middle Ages, whilst the surrounding churchyard contains ancient schist crosses. Stations of the Cross lead to the Notre Dame Chapel on a nearby hill.
