This museum commemorates an aerial accident that occurred on the 12th of July 1944. Two American bombers flew into one another between Wolwelange and Perle resulting in the deaths of 18 out of 20 crew. The museum grew from a small exhibition that included parts of the two aircraft. It was set up by the 385th Bombardment Group. Since then, veterans and collectors of World War 11 material all over the world have donated many items to the museum, and it is now a very fine Air Force collection.
